Primary Purpose:

  • Drive strategic and tactical sourcing activities for Mactac manufacturing divisions:
    • Advising business leadership on procurement strategies
    • Managing supply base performance, risk, and compliance

 Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process owner for PO requisitions, supplier invoicing, and supplier selection and set up Find and manage qualification of new sources to support new products
  • Lead, support, or coordinate with manufacturing operations, materials management, and supplier quality regarding supplier performance, inventory initiatives, and supply chain continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop category strategies in conjunction with Marketing/Product Management, R&D, and Manufacturing to address Mactac’s current and future needs
  • Develop cost reduction plans and lead cross-functional teams through project execution
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial terms for assigned spend categories
  • Support and/or lead make/buy analysis and decisions

 Duties may also include:

  • Fulfill the raw material, finished goods, or indirect purchasing requirements of the business through purchasing processes and inventory planning
  • Conduct basic vendor part management procedures (part setup/changes, price table maintenance, vendor setup/maintenance, etc.)
  • Analyze daily purchase order backlog reports for accuracy, trends, reorder points
  • Prepare and analyze monthly inventory and purchase variance reports
  • Issue and track supplier non-conformances and cost recovery

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain Mgt, or Business
  • 5-10 years Sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Paper, extruded films, category experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be highly motivated, self-directed and self-motivated
  • Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism
  • Ability to work well in cross-functional teams in both plant and corporate environments
  • Strong MS Excel and MS Word skills
  • Demonstrated abilities to implement process change improvements and best practices
  • CPM or APICS a plus
  • Possibility for travel up to 25%
